S & R Smith & Son are a family owned haulage company which was established in 1949 by the late Samuel Smith, his wife Rose and their Son Raymond Smith.

Starting out with 2 rigid flat back vehicles, Sam and, Ray worked for local companies in the East London area shipping various goods from the docks and warehouses.

The company now operates 10 miles from its original depot in Stratford, the new office based in West Thurrock, Essex is strategically situated close to junction 31 of the M25 Motorway.

The company has been built on the basis of personal reliable service for those customers who require that bit extra at a competitive cost.

Our centrally located operational centre in the South East is operated by our highly experienced staff and home to our warehousing facilities and vehicle depot.

We have an extensive range of modern vehicles operated by a hands on management team, our large fleet of vehicles are available for contract distribution and contract hire with experienced drivers on hand to deliver your goods fast and efficiently.

Our high security warehousing is maintained to the highest of standards and provides an ideal location for bulk storage of goods in a safe and secure environment.
